The trail will conclude at St.Thomas’ Church  All Age Crib Service on Tuesday 24th December at 4.45pm when there will be a prize draw with prizes for first, second and third places, as well as the all age crib service for everyone to join in. Children are invited to dress as a shepherd a king or an angel for this service (this is not compulsory).

A big thank you!

Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who helped out with street collections around the Island for the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal – and to everyone who donated so generously. Special thanks to the members of the Filipino Association of the Isle of Man who were able to join us at such a difficult time.  All funds raised will go to the DEC – you can get updates on the aid they are providing at http://www.dec.org.uk/.  The UN is estimating about 11 million people have been affected by the typhoon and long term help will be required to rebuild lives and communities.  More aid is vital – for ideas on holding your own fund-raising event go to http://www.dec.org.uk/how-to-help/fundraise-us

Film: Two Sided Story

Friday 18th October, Claremont Hotel

This powerful documentary charts what happened when Palestinians from a range of different religious and political backgrounds met with a group of Israelis from similarly diverse backgrounds.  Without taking sides it provides an illuminating insight into what happens when people from opposing sides sit down together, listen to what the other has to say and see each other as human beings.

Tickets £10 from the One World Centre, 28 Duke St Douglas, or on the door.
