The 2012 Send My Friend to School campaign is now in full swing for this Summer term. The aim is that 8-14 year-olds learn about the crisis in education and become active global citizens by reminding world leaders to keep to the education promises made in 2000 and provide quality primary education for every girl and boy worldwide by 2015.
The campaign this year is Olympic themed, as pupils will be learning about the Great Global Education Race 2000-2015 and will find out why some countries are on target and others are lagging behind in getting universal primary education. Sign your school up and you will be sent a free DVD for use in class or assembly, plus posters and stickers, and there are masses of downloadable teaching resources available on-line. Have a look
