We’re offering a fantastic opportunity to join a guided walk with OWC Chair (and Blue Badge Guide!) Phil Craine around Peel to visit locations associated with the transatlantic slave trade.
We’ll be exploring how the Isle of Man played a crucial role in supplying cargoes, ships, captains and mariners, and we’ll also be considering slavery in the world today as well as racism on the Isle of Man.
The walk will take place on Saturday 28th November, starting at 2pm at Weatherglass Corner, Peel (corner of East Quay & Shore Road). Finish at the Cathedral by 4.30pm. This event is free of charge but please book by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations may be made if desired.
